In order for dentists to become an OMR, he or she must be able to complete a residency from the ADA or the American Dental Association’s accredited program. During his or her training, the dentist must gain a thorough knowledge with regards to the techniques, as well as with the interpretation of maxillofacial scans whether it is from ultrasound, MRI, CBCT, CT or other similar imaging technology.
