At Canyon Gate Dental, our goal is to help you achieve and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile. We guarantee, starting with your first visit to our Orem, Lindon, or Vineyard offices, that you will be impressed by our friendly staff, high-quality dental care, and prevention-focused approach to oral health.
What to Expect
When you first arrive, you will be asked to fill out a few forms. These forms help our team get to know you and your individual needs. We recommend that you arrive a few minutes early to give yourself enough time to complete this necessary paperwork.
You can save time by printing and filling out the following forms at home. Then, give the completed forms to our office staff when you arrive:

In order to get a good look at your mouth, we will take a series of digital x-rays. X-rays can help us diagnose any dental issues, such as cavitites or dum disease that you may have. The equipment we use does not hurt your mouth and we only take x-rays that are absolutely necessary. Digital technology results in a only a very small amount of radiation.
We understand that your time is valuable and it can be timely to visit the dentist. That’s why, unlike other dental offices, we offer cleanings on the first visit.
We will review your medical history and x-rays carefully and perform a thorough examination of your mouth, including an oral cancer screening. Dr. Payne or Dr. Young will work with your dental hygienist to make a treatment plan specifically for your individual needs.
Consultation with Patient Care Specialist
We emphasize comprehensive care, which means taking care of immediate issues and catching small problems before they grow and become more expensive. No matter what your budget is, we are committed to helping you and offer payment plans. Once your treatment options have been reviewed, you will meet with one of our patient care specialists. They will answer any questions you may have regarding financial and insurance issues.
Scheduling Your Next Visit
For your convenience, we offer a variety of days and times, including some evenings and Saturdays. We do everything possible to treat you on your first visit, but general preventative dental care requires regular visits. We do our best to accommodate all patients.
We encourage you to ask questions about your oral health and treatment plan. We take time to explain and educate you in the office regarding your treatment plans and oral health and provide several resources to help you understand your treatment plan and what to expect moving forward. We recognize that the most important part of any treatment plan is you and we are excited to partner with you to achieve your optimal smile.
